Hi Everyone,

We hope everybody is in good health and getting ready to get back to work soon.

We just wanted to update you guys on what's been happening since our last update.

Since shipping is really challenging at this time, we have decided to ship based on the shipping destination. This has definitely helped us better manage our shipping operations.

As we speak, we are shipping out ALL US backers who are in these categories:

1. Requested for replacements

2. Were shipped but didn't get their package and submitted the form sent out on April 21. 

3. Placed their order between 1st Dec 2019 - Present. 

After the US, we will be shipping out to the UK and EU backers.
And finally rest of the world. 
We would also like to share that in order to streamline shipping and having learnt a lot from our past, we are paying 3 times shipping but going with the best shipping partners. 

US- USPS
UK- Royal Mail
EU- DHL and PostNL
Asia- DHL & Hong Kong Post

We are confident, you'll see a major improvement in our shipping operations going forward.

Hi Everyone,

Hope all of you are safe and healthy. We are glad last week a lot of pending rewards were delivered while some are in transit.

This update is for 3 categories of backers. So please scroll down to the relevant section:

1. Got a damaged contribution and applied for a replacement? 

If you have already emailed us and got our reply confirming the replacement, please hang tight. We will ship the replacements by the end of this month.

If you emailed us and didn't get a reply yet, please email us again at [email protected]

2. Got a damaged contribution and wondering how to request a replacement?

a. Please take a picture of whatever the issue is with your reward

b. Send over an email to [email protected]

3. Didn't receive your contribution yet?

We have created a form to get information of all the backers who are without a reward. Please click the link below and submit the form. 

We have shipped all the rewards (apart from a few rewards from remote areas of the US). If you haven't received your reward for any reason, the form below will help us compile the data and resolve the issue.

Please submit this form ASAP so that we can make sure EVERYONE gets their Outlery.

Hello Outlery Family,

We hope all of you are safe and in good health.

We wanted to update you on where we stand today. 

1. Shipping of rewards contributed after 1st Dec 2019: We were supposed to ship the rewards placed after 1st Dec, 2019 in March. Although we have the products ready, we are not shipping them out yet because of flight cancelations. After our last batch, we made contracts with new courier companies including HongKong Post, Singapore Post and SwissPost for our international deliveries. Unfortunately, all of them have very limited international operations right now. We will ship the packages out as soon as they are back up which we hope will be soon as the lockdowns are expected to be eased with the decline in new cases. 

2. US and UK Remote Areas: We have a few packages from Batch 1 that were supposed to be shipped to remote areas in the US and UK. Our regular shipping partners don't service remote locations. So we imported all those packages in the US and UK and are shipping locally. 

3. EU pacakges from PostNL that are not yet tracking: This has been a very frustrating experience for us and we are aware it hasn't been a pleasant experience for our EU backers either. But good news is that the tracking status has updated. We are in direct contact with PostNL since last week (earlier it was through our shipping fulfilment parter FloShip). According to PostNL, the pacakges are on their way to local EU shippers for last mile delivery.

4. For the small percentage that contirbuted before Dec 1st, 2019 and haven't yet received any tracking number, please rest assured we are aware of it and are already making arrangements. There were several reasons for the delay including lost packages in transit, areas not serviced by courier etc.

5. Replacements: We wanted to ship out replacemements requested on [email protected] last month but the global situation didn't permit us. We are all set to ship replacements as soon as courier companies are back up.

We, as humans are going through challenging times in every sense of the word. As a startup project, we have come across a number of global events that made shipping on time really challenging. It's a disappointment that we made the product long time ago but shipping delays extended the timeline. Having shipped more than 95% of the contributions placed before Dec 1st 2019, we are confident we will make good on our promise and come out strong.

Dear Outlery Family,

We'lll be updating your backerkit accounts with tracking numbers on Monday. We expect that almost everyone will get their tracking numbers by EoD Monday.
We are also aware that some of you have received rewards with minor damages.
Please understand that we produced more than half a million individual pieces. All three pieces that combine to make up one piece of cutlery are made individually. Its a labor intensive process and makes it almost impossible to guarantee 100% uniformity. 
But we stand behind our product and assure you that we'll ship replacements for any damaged part. 


Please follow the process mentioned below.

We are also aware of your concerns regarding 2 handles.
